NOW is the time, not later!

Having grown up in a Oneness, Pentecostal church, it has been instilled in me that there is One God. I've been told since I was little that there is only One God, and no trinity. And I really do believe that. The thing is, I wouldn't have been able to show you proof of that. I wouldn't have known where to look in the Bible to back up my belief of One God. Well, recently, I've been getting into reading my Bible more, and really just wanting to get closer to God and learn more about Him. My dad is teaching my brother and I Search for Truth, (A Bible study) I had Search for Truth taught to me when I was younger, but still did not understand somethings, mostly because of my age. Now that my dad is teaching it to me at an older age, I'm getting a lot out of it and finally understanding the more deeper things in the Bible. Right now, I'm reading a book that some of you have probably heard of, called "Is Jesus in the Godhead or Is the Godhead in Jesus?" I'm getting so much out of it, and finally understanding the Oneness of God. It's written by an old time Pentecostal, Bro. Gordon Magee. He writes very clearly and backs everything up with Scripture. If you're ever having a bad time trying to explain Oneness to somebody, this is the book to give them. It's only 47 pages. I know a lot of people that have the "I'm young and having fun right now so I'll just study the Bible when I'm older" attitude. But you know, we don't have time for that. God is coming back so soon, and we have to be ready. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I want to be approved unto God. I've been learning a lot just from getting into the Bible more, and I want to encourage all the young people like me out there...read your Bible NOW! Study NOW! NOW NOW NOW is the time!! Not later. God will reveal things to you if you do. Whenever you're trying to tell somebody about the Holy Ghost, or about Repentance, or Oneness, whatever the subject is, you can't always go running to your mom or dad or the pastor to give you the verses to back you up. There's nothing wrong with asking to learn, but you have to study and learn yourself too. How do you think your pastor learned everything he knows from the Bible? He got into it himself. So I encourage you, read, study, learn, and grow in God.

The way media works these days

A man is walking by the zoo when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to devour her right in front of the little girl's screaming parents. But a man runs to the cage, hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the man brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has seen the whole scene, and addressing the man, says: 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.'

'Why, it was nothing,' said the rescuer, 'really, the lion was behind bars and I knew God would protect me just as He did Daniel in the lions den long, long ago. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt was right '

'I noticed a bible in your pocket.' said the journalist.

'Yes, I'm a Christian and was on my way to a bible study' the man replies.

'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's papers will have this on the first page.

The following morning the man buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on first page: "Right Wing Christian Fundamentalist Assaults African Immigrant and Steals His Lunch.."

Happy Mother's Day!

Dear Mom,

Happy Mother's Day! I really love and appreciate you and just want to say thank you for everything you've done for me. You pray for me, care for me, love me, and guide me. You've helped me a lot, and though we have our little disagreements and all, I love you so much!

Love,

Jen

She thinks she owns the place

Here's my dog, Misty, in my backyard. Sometimes I think she really does think she owns the place. She's funny. A dog with personality. It's a funny picture of her...lol The poor dog has had so many weird things happen to her. Maybe that's why she's a little loopy. A few years ago a kid from our neighborhood dropped a really heavy duty pogo stick on top of her head. We were scared she was gonna die but she pulled through. There was another time she got fixed, had surgery on a hernia, and had surgery on her eye all in one day. And that's just a few things. She barks at everybody that comes through the door, but hey, gotta love the ol' pooch....I haven't posted anything about her in a long time and I didn't want her to be offended so I thought I would make a little post about her...hahaha...okay maybe in reality I'm just trying to make up for not posting in a few days.
