Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

God answers prayer!
I am excited! I have been inviting a man to come to church for about a year. He is a former Pentecostal preacher who has fallen away from the church. He had been coming to my work for a while before he said anything to me about his background and asked me if I was Pentecostal. Everytime he comes in, we have good conversations and I know God is dealing with him. Yesterday he came in with his young son and I invited him again and gave him a preaching CD to listen to. He showed up today! He came at the wrong time because he got the service times mixed up, but it is an answer to prayer that he came. I've been after this for a long time! We can only sow seed and water, but God is the one who gives the increase. It's so awesome to see God answering prayer. The man said he would be back next Sunday. God is moving in people and answering prayer! Please keep our church in your prayers. I love Home Missons. :)

The Danger of Bad Breath
I posted this before on my other blog....just needed something to post! lol

Have you ever had someone talk in your face or try and pray with you at church who really needed a breath mint? I'm sure most of us have been there at some point. When you're really praying good and getting a blessing and then someone with a severe case of halitosis comes right up and is like "YEESSS! PRAAAIIISE HHHHIIIIM! HAHHHH-LLELUJAH!" and you're like "Dear God help me NOWW!!" That's why it's important to carry mints in your purse/pocket.
Before altar working, pop one in your mouth! You don't want to scare visitors away! I mean, they probably can't get the Holy Ghost if they're holding their breath. Know what I mean? Also after dinner, before church, make sure to brush your teeth and use some mouth wash! It may seem funny, (that's because it is) but if you want to be an effective altar call worker, you can't have bad breath! Your bad breath may drive someone farrrrr away from you, and if you're always at the church, (hopefully you are) then they might stay away from church! So, know that your breath may play a role in someones salvation. Have a lovely day!

Revival!
I just wanted to share with you what God is doing in our church! It's so exciting to see a home missions church grow and have revival - and it's happening here. On our New Year's Eve service an Elder in our church stood up and said he felt in the Holy Ghost this would be a year of souls. And it has been. God has been adding people to the church. He is drawing people and bringing them through the doors. Outreach, Bible studies, and lots of prayer is the key! You just have to keep on doing that and God will give the increase. We've had people get the Holy Ghost and get baptized recently, and it's such a joy to see! I also feel like our youth group is about to grow! I have been the only teenage girl for way too long! I have contacts - one Bible study set up, and a girl from work who I believe is hungry for God. I've had a lot of contacts at work. The guy who is going to be painting and doing art work in the store has been really searching for more and is so hungry for God. There are more. Please pray for our church! God is doing so much and it's a wonderful thing. When wonderful things like that happen the devil gets mad, so we do need prayer! Thank you!!

Happy Birthday Paul!
Aww, little brother! I can't believe you're 15 already! I remember the day you were born - I didn't want anything to do with you. LOL I changed my mind soon afterwards. I love you so much! You always make me laugh and our house wouldn't be the same without you here. Sorry if you don't like the pictures I put of you, you never do. :) Have a great day!
Birthday comments/wishes are welcome! I'll pass them along!

Does your windshield need washing?
As I was driving down the road yesterday I noticed that my windshield was getting rather dirty. It was harder for me to see the road with the sun shining on all the dirt and filth on the windshield. I knew everything would be so much better if I washed it, but I was busy and in a hurry to get somewhere. I didn't end up washing it. So, I have been thinking about windshield washing. If I would have washed my windshield before I left, I would have been able to see everything clearly, how it really was. When a windshield is dirty it changes the way you see everything on the outside. What really is pure and clean may look blurry, dirty, or unappealing when looking through a dirty windshield. It isn't because everything outside is dirty, it is the way you are looking at it. You may perceive what you see to be different than it truly is. I want to apply a spiritual aspect to the subject: How do you view the church? How do you see your pastor? What do you think of his instruction and guidelines? What do you think of your elders? If you see everything as a bunch of rules, no fun, and people just telling you what to do because they can - you might want to wash your windshield. It's not what you're looking at that is dirty, it's your windshield! When things aren't clean in your life and you don't have a walk with God, you may start viewing what is pure and clean to be "dirty." Not dirty in a sinful way, but dirty as in you don't like what you see. Is the church unappealing to you? If so, you may need to consider your life's "windshield." Perspective is important. When sin is reigning in your life, your perspective will be off and you won't even know it. If you're unhappy with your pastor or church guidelines, (which are for your own spiritual safety and salvation) try searching yourself and your heart first. Wash your windshield with repentance, prayer, and Bible reading, and look again.

If more would pray
I've been thinking lately about the importance of prayer. Your prayers, my prayers, other people's prayers. What could happen if more people would get a prayer life? Now is the time to pray. Pray for others, and ourselves. Pray that God would stirr other people to pray! If we prayed for more miracles, I believe more would happen. If we pray for the growth of others, I believe that would happen too. So much could happen if we would just PRAY. Thank you to all of those who pray for me. I know it has helped me SO much and I am for sure a product of prayer.
