A lot of people that have backslid or messed up feel like they went too far and that God couldn't forgive them now. But my Bible still says there is hope! Not only can God forgive you, but He can help you forgive yourself.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13
One of my dad's friends wrote a beautiful song talking about the mercy and grace of God. I wanted to share the words and I hope it will help somebody.
Vs 1
Back on my knees again
after a fall
Satan says no use to try
you've lost it all
But I go to God in earnest prayer
the Spirit intercedes
and in the shadow of His wings
I find all that I need
Chorus 1
I find mercy, I find grace
beyond the veil
in that Holy place
Jesus my high priest
waits there for me
His blood is sprinkled down
on the mercy seat
Vs 2
So if you're on your knees again
after a fall
and you feel why even pray,
I've lost it all
Just come boldly to the thrown of grace
the King will intercede
and in the shadow of His wings
you'll find all that you need
Chorus 2
You'll find mercy, you'll find grace
beyond the veil
in that Holy Place
Jesus the high priest
wants to set you free
His blood is sprinkled down
on the mercy seat
God's mercy is still there for you!
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little – do what you can. ~Sydney Smith

God's favor
I had an interview today with Quality Behavioral Outcomes in Pleasanton, CA. God really opened the doors for this to happen and I am believing Him for the rest! It was His favor and not my doing - I am unworthy of His blessings but thankful and ready to receive them! I know that if He wants me to have this job that I will get it! It's amazing the things God will do for those who love Him. And even if things aren't happening right away or we don't have a job, God is still worthy of our very best. I want to give God my best through the good and the bad. There is nothing better than knowing you are right with God and pleasing Him! I want God to smile on me. :)
Little Children
I was recently thinking about the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:3 - ...."Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." We can't go to heaven unless we become as little children? What did He mean? I thought of the characteristics of a child. They are very trusting - When a child is told something will be given them, they believe it! They come running to their parents because they trust that they will pick them up and take care of their needs. We need to trust God in this way and believe His Word: He is our provider!
Little children are forgiving - They don't stay upset with you very long! They get over things easier than most adults do. They know how to forgive. We need to be forgiving.
Little children are lowly - They don't have much pride. They don't think highly of themselves, they are too little! They will cry in front of anyone and express that they need help. Little children are humble! If there's anything God hates, it's pride! We need to learn to humble ourselves.
Little children are loving - They show affection and care for people. If a little kid sees you crying or upset they show concern and try to comfort. We as Apostolics should have a love for people's souls! The older people get, the harder it seems to be for them to trust, to love, to forgive, and to be humble. Things come our way in life that can harden us and make us the opposite -hateful, fearful and unbelieving, proud, grudge holders, etc. But Jesus can help us through those things with His Spirit that He gives to us - the Holy Ghost! I want to be like a little child because I want to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, don't you?

Pink is pretty
I love pink and I probably always will! I can, because I'm a female! What's with all the guys these days trying to wear pink? No no no, pink is for GIRLS! Blue is for boys! Anyways - I was just looking at pink decor and considering I haven't posted any pictures in a while, figured I'd put some up. Of pink stuff. Because I like it. :)

I love this last couch! I like the old elegant stuff; it's so much prettier than all the plain modern things they have out now. One of these days if I ever have a little girl I'll give her a nice little pink room. lol!

The sin of unbelief
When you hear the word sin, is unbelief the first thing that comes into your mind? Probably not. Most of us think along the lines of lying, cheating, fornication, adultery, murder, drunkenness, idolatry, ect. While those things are all definitely sin, I'm afraid there is something that many people overlook, including myself. Recently I have been studying about faith, doubt, fear, and unbelief and how they are are linked together. Doubt, fear, and unbelief are the three things that will tear on your faith. Those three things are not of God and greatly displease Him, as we can see all throughout Scripture.
Found in Mark chapter 5:38-39 Jesus' disciples were afraid because of the storm and asked, "Master, carest thou not that we perish?" His reply to them after calming the storm was, "Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?" It doesn't matter how bad the storm looks, it is the will of God that we have faith! Because without faith, it is impossible to please Him. (Hebrews 11:6) Unbelief is a serious thing.
Hebrews 3:12-13 says "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
Verse 19 of the same chapter says, "So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."
Then it goes on to say in Hebrews 4:1-2 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."
God does not like unbelief! If it is something you are struggling with, you can overcome it through prayer and hearing the Word of God. Fear and unbelief are things that we need to overcome if we want to make it to heaven. I was reading a verse the other day that jumped out me. Revalation 21:7-8 "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
You see how important it is that we have faith and overcome fear and unbelief? When we are satisfied with the status quo, we fall into that place of unbelief. We need to come to every service expecting God to do something! We need to believe God for our healing, finances, and all of our other needs.
Lets obey the words that Jesus spoke in Mark 5:36 -"Be not afraid, only believe."

Another post with no particular title. Just me talking!
I haven't posted in about 8 days! Guess I've been pretty busy these days with everything going on. God has really been moving in our services and changing us so we are extending our revival for at least another week. We had a good move of God on Sunday; He is so good to us! I'm thankful for preachers who have a burden to do the will of God! Just one person obeying God can affect so many other people - if one can put a thousand to flight, two can put ten thousand to flight!
I'm still working full time, though praying about a different job. I'm at a point in my life where I really need to rely on God and trust in Him. But it has been good for me and I know that God will bring me through! He has definitely been working on me this year and has done so much in me, and I know there will be a testimony at the end of all of this. I'm just believing God's word!
Yesterday at work I was cutting some fruit when I looked down and realized that there was a scary looking spider crawling on my hand. Now first you must understand that I am absolutely terrified of spiders - big time! I immediately freaked out which resulted in me throwing the fruit and beating on my hand to get the spider off. Too bad I forgot I had a knife in my hand! And we had no band aids either. Oh well! I guess it probably looked pretty funny with me freaking out like that - good thing nobody saw me! Or at least I don't think they did! :0
Well that is my update for the day. I must run and get ready for work! God bless!
