1st day of training!

Today was my first day of the 2 week training period I am going through for my new job. It went well and I am already learning a lot! It was a bit of an information overload, and from what I know it will be like this most of the week. But that's OK. I've got the job and I know God will help me to do well in it! We did an autism overview and the ABC's of autism. Autism is definitely on the rise and there are all sorts of different theories out there as to why it is increasing. It's also at least 4x more common in males.
We might not understand everything or what causes it all, but I know that God can use me to help these kids and their families. Not just because of my job, but because I have the Holy Ghost and God can touch their minds if someone will pray for them. Psychiatrists may say that autism is treatable, but not curable, but God can cure anything. :)

Please keep me in your prayers!

I still refuse

I STILL REFUSE TO BE A PART OF ANOTHER GENERATION!

(A generation who knew not the LORD or His great works - Judges 2:10)

Those of you who were at Pacific Coast Camp last year know what I am talking about. I'm listening to a preaching CD from camp when Elder Gary Howard preached "I refuse to be apart of another generation." I will never forget that camp or what God spoke to us. He said the Lord spoke to Him and said He wanted to change the course of History. I still believe it! It's so easy to go on with life and forget about what we heard there, but God still wants to move. We should be seeing more or the gifts of the Spirit in operation, signs and wonders, healings, miracles. God is able and willing and ready to work!

We aren't waiting on Him, He is waiting on us. We all want revival but are we willing to pay the price? Praying consistantly, fasting, consecration, commitment, studying the Word, getting ahold of God - all these things are vital to having a real revival. Old fashioned Apostolic revival is not just going to fall in our laps if we are not doing enough!

I am going to do my part. These are the last days and we need a breakthrough. Sometimes we feel it and sometimes we don't, but God is never the problem! We just need to get where we need to be....

This is on my heart today and I just wanted to share. Let's all start seeking God like never before and doing our part...

Texas Road Trip and pics!

What a trip! This was the longest road trip I have ever been on. The first day we drove to Williams, Arizona, where we spent the night. It was such an adorable little place and the people were extremely friendly! Historic Route 66 runs right through Williams and there were so many neat little places there. The next day we drove to the Grand Canyon and it sure was grand! God amazes me - people can speculate and say what they want to say about creation, but I know who the Creator is! The same day we drove to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and stayed the night there. Then we drove on to Texas and we were there for about 4 and a half days. My dad spoke at the Apostolic Theological Forum where he presented a paper on the Fear of the Lord. Unfortunately I was sick and didn't get to be there for his presentation, but I did get to hear the CD. He did a good job! Then Friday night we went to the Pace's church in Dallas and my dad preached there. They had an awesome church and the people were so sweet! It's so wonderful to know we have brothers and sisters in Jesus all over the country, and all over the world for that matter. My mom and I went to their ladies fellowship on Saturday at one of the sister's houses and we had a good time. Sis. Pace did a little lesson on modesty and it was really good. I appreciate people like that!

My dad preached both services on Sunday and we had good church! It was a blessing to me to be able to be there and receive something from God. Thank God for His refreshing touch! We left Monday afternoon and drove to Albuquerque again where we stayed the night. The next day we met my dad's cousin and aunt, who I have never met before. We ate with them at a restaurant near our hotel and we had a good time visiting with them. My dad's cousins daughter (my 2nd cousin) is going to school out here in the bay area and we will meet her really soon. I am looking forward to it! After that we to the museum of Nuclear Science and History and looked around. Then we went on a little hike and saw some Indian Petroglyphs in the rocks - that was pretty neat!

Then we drove to Flagstaff, Arizona and stayed the night. The next morning my dad surprised us and said, "Wake up! You guys are going on an air tour of the Grand Canyon!" My brother was so excited because he loves airplanes and wants to be a pilot. So Paul and I got in a little plane and flew through the Grand Canyon. It was so incredible! I loved it! If you're ever there, do it! It's worth it! We drove home that night and got in a 3 in the morning. Nothing like my own bed! We had a good time but it is so good to be back! Okay, and now for the pictures...

Home sweet home

After a VERY long drive to Texas and back, my family and I are finally home again! We had a nice trip and saw a lot of really neat things (which I will post about soon), but it is very good to be back. I caught up on my sleep today. We got home at about 3a.m. The drive was clear and everything was going just fine when all of a sudden we ran into a thick cloud of fog. This happened before we ever got into Bakersfield, and it was foggy all the way until we got home! That's about 5 hours of fog! It cleared just a few times but it was pretty consistent. Needless to say, we made it home and all got some sleep. There is nothing like your own bed! Thank God for a safe trip. :)

Finally a road trip update!

So I finally get to make a little update entry here! I tried sign in to my blog at the last hotel but the internet was having problems. So here I am, and our trip is basically over now. We're leaving in the morning and coming back to California, so we should be back at our house in about 3 days. We stopped at the Grand Canyon on the way up to Texas and it was amazing! Pictures don't do the place justice. God truly is an incredible artist! We stayed one night in Williams, Arizona, and it was such a cute little town. All the people seemed to know eachother and they were so friendly! I think we are going to stay there on the way back.

The Theological Forum was really good! I learned some things and met some people. Then we had good church with the Paces on Friday night and both services today. The people were so sweet and I had a nice time there. I took some pictures but won't be able to post them until I get home. A few interesting things I have seen/tasted on this trip - saw: A buffalo, a ghost town, a lady walk directly into a tree, snow in the desert, and probably more. lol And I tasted fried pickles and fried alligator. Interesting! The fried alligator actually tasted like a chicken nugget so I did okay with that. Anyhow I am sleepy and must arise in the morning, so this is the end of my post. Will post more soon!

Excited!

I am so excited about what God is doing in our church! I really believe some great things are going to happen this year. We had 5 first time visitors tonight and 2 of them were some girls I used to work with. Now their mom might come and their friend. I've had really good opportunites to witness to them and tell them about Jesus, and there is nothing like it. I love seeing God work on people. There is a joy that comes in witnessing to people and seeing God change their lives - I love it!

Praise Report!

I just want to give God praise for blessing me with a new job today! It was an answer to prayer! It's amazing when God is working on your behalf. I applied to be a skills trainer for Quality Behavioral Outcomes (QBO), the company my mom works for. I knew that I didn't have experience and didn't meet the qualifications, but I applied anyway. An Educational Consultant for QBO mentioned to my mom that she thought I should work for them and that's how I decided to apply for the position. Just a few days after I mailed in my application and resume, they called me. I spoke with a lady there and after she asked me some questions, she scheduled me for an interview at the office. My interview went really well! They called me today and made a job offer. It's much better pay and this is something that I really want to do! I'll be working with young children with autism. It's part time and I'll have more time to visit with people and teach Bible studies. That is what I really wanted! Thank God! He knows what we have need of before we ask.

If you are waiting on an answer from God, just keep being faithful and keep praying. He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him! God will bring it about at the right time - He is good when we have jobs, and when we don't have jobs. He is good all the time!
