This is a great verse! My husband often turns things around when he's teaching or preaching. This verse could also say:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are a lie, whatsoever things are dishonest, whatsoever things are unjust, whatsoever things are impure, whatsoever things are ugly, whatsoever things are of bad report; if there is no virtue, and if there is no praise, DON'T think on these things.
