It's a privilege to pray and be able to feel peace that passes all understanding come over you. Many people blame their problems on God, when really, their problems are just a result of sin and our fallen nature. Things happen to you and I that are not fair; many times it is because of the bad choices and sin of others. It amazes me when I think about the people in the world that go through hell on earth, and they do not have the privilege of calling upon Jesus and knowing He will take care of them. They do not know how their situation will turn out or who will help them. If you are a child of God, you know that you can pray and get a hold of God and feel His peace, even in the midst of a raging storm. That in itself is something to thank God for! Looking back I can honestly say that some of my darkest times in life were also some of the sweetest and closest times I had with God - because He was right there. Trials cause us to hit our knees...and sometimes we really need that.
Reading Psalm 91 is very encouraging. One of the verses says "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."
We can hide under His wings for peace and protection.
With every storm, He provides a shelter.
With any mountain, He can make a way.
Through every dry time, there's living water.
I'm thankful I serve a God who is WITH ME in this life. This life is not perfect, but if we do what we are supposed to do on this earth and be thankful despite our pain, we will make it to heaven where everything will be perfect! No more pain and suffering! I intend on being there, how about you?

Jen!
Psalms 91 is one of my favorite chapters in the bible, and it is very encouraging!.. It is true He is with us wherever we go. Today I went to the church this morning to pray before going to work, and I can truly say that because I started my day with prayer I had an awesome day today! God is Good!
My pastor was talking about heaven Sunday night, and how it was going to be a wonderful place. Well I can't wait till I get to heaven either! I wanna go there 2! :) Excellent post girl! Love ya and miss ya lotz! :)
Great post, Jen! So glad I can turn to God in times of trouble.
Good post, very true. If everything was good all the time, we would not appreciate the good times at all.
Like you said, some of the hard times are there to put us on our knees. Our God loves us so much that he sends a range of trials, just so we can get close to him once more.
He want' us with him at any cost!
:)
