Outreach

We went to an interesting neighborhood today for outreach. Some of the girls and I knocked on one door and I said "Hello", so the guy said hello back. "I'm Jennifer and were from Cornerstone Pentecostal Church and we-" "BYE!! BYE!! BYE!!" The door shuts in our face. The girls and I looked at each other, turned from the door and started laughing. What else do you do, go pound on the door again? Lol People need somebody to pray for them because they are bound by hurt and bitterness. But, we kept on going and knocked some doors. There are some days where outreach efforts seem pretty fruitless, but God sees the labor. You never know what God is doing in lives. Sometimes you pray and then go knock doors and nobody's home or interested. But, I've seen God bring people in after that outreach effort that weren't even from that neighborhood. God knows how to draw on people's hearts if we'll just pray.

We knocked on the door even though the mat said "GO AWAY." lol

Pumpkins in February. One literally sunk in on the porch, it was so old!

This house had creepy stuff everywhere

And in the window watching us. lol

It may seem scary and some people live in dumps, but they need somebody to bring them the gospel. We need to go into all the world with the gospel! This is for "whosoever will, let him come." One time on outreach we knocked on a door. It was not well taken care of the and the door was black with a skull on the front. You could tell and feel there were evil spirits there. Nobody answered the door and to be honest, I felt relieved! As were were about to leave, a car pulled into the drive way. "Oh great!" I thought. The people looked kind of creepy. The girl seemed a bit high and I think the guy may have been into some sort of devil worship. Anyhow, we invited them to church and girl was so hungry for God. She began to cry as the Word of God went forth, and we had a chance to pray for her right there on the porch. It was on one of those days where it seemed nobody was answering their doors. But God has a plan, and you'll never know what He can do if you just do your part.

Hanna, if we're talking about birds, I think Oakley is like a sparrow compared to the vulture that Berkeley is! lol Especially after I did outreach with you guys at the fleamarket there. That was an unforgettable experience! But yes, the whole world needs the gospel!

Mary, thanks!
