Books

Frank Peretti's book "This Present Darkness," and its sequel, "Piercing the Darkness," are two of my favorite books. Both stories show what is going on both in the natural world and in the spiritual world. While we do not know exactly how demons and angles work or battle, Frank Peretti's imaginations of them do cause you to think about what may be going on in the spiritual realm.
When the saints begin to pray for the situations and crazy things going on in the natural, things begin to happen in the spiritual. These books will cause you to think about prayer, and how you can make a difference in the spiritual when you really take time to get a hold of God for something. I heard a preacher once say that what we see going on in the natural is often a reflection of the spiritual. When you see people struggling with rebellion, attitudes, or just getting into things they shouldn't, it is because there are spirits behind it. When things start going crazy in your world and nothing seems right, there is probably a battle going on in the spiritual.

These books start off exciting and stay exciting all the way through. I'm the kind of person that has trouble finishing the book if the first few chapters are extremely boring. If you want to read novels that will be both exciting and thought provoking, I suggest you give these two a try.

You don't know me, but I know some of your family. I was a young person in good ole Section 10 way back in the day. I knew your cousin, Jeremy, when he was a little kid. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you are an awesome young lady! It is so encouraging to see young people that want to really live for God, not play church. Keep on keepin' on, girl! Love your blog! ;o)

(Don't judge me by my blog! lol)

Kate - Make sure it's called "This Present Darkness" and not "In Present Darkness," because it's the wrong book! It is a good book though. Hopefully it's the right one!

Misty - Thank you so much for your comment, you're so nice! Keep coming to my blog. =)
