Don't Quit!

 I came across an old poem that I really like and I would like to share it today. We live in a world of great problems and difficulties as we have never seen before. There are many who are giving up and caving in. I know many discouraged people, and I've fought discouragement myself. I personally know a lot of people who have quit walking with God. We are in the last days, and no time is a good time to quit!

Do you know someone who quit? Maybe they were discouraged. When others quit, it discourages us. I'd like to encourage those who are discouraged. Don't quit! Those that have may be depending on you to help them get back up and try again.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

We can make it - we have everything we need in God. He's given us His Word, His church, and His Spirit. If we do our part, He promised to do His part! If somebody you love has quit, don't you quit. Some quitters find their way back and get back up, starting over. We all need each other.

I've made up in my mind, "I won't quit."
