Red Out

Today my dad mentioned something at church that really interested me -- I wanted to share. First of all, our next door neighbor does carpet cleaning for a living. He has cleaned our carpets in our house, and I believe he has also done some work at our church. Recently in talking with my dad, our carpet cleaning neighbor (Dan) told him about a product he uses: Red Out.

"Red," Dan told dad, "is the hardest type of stain to remove." Anything with red that gets into a carpet is very difficult to get rid of. There is a product called 'Wine Out' that is specifically for red wine stains on carpet. Again, they made this special product specifically because Red is so difficult to remove.

Often enough, analogies on sin use the color black, simply because sin is dark and dirty, needing to be washed away; But what was mentioned today in church really struck me after I heard about how hard it is to remove Red. What did God say about the color red?

Isaiah 1:18 - "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

God knows all things, for He created all things. He knows science; He knows facts. Before anyone else ever figured it out, He knew how difficult it is to remove the stain of red.

God is reassuring the sinner that no sin stain is too hard for Him to remove. It doesn't matter where you have been or what you have done - He can do the impossible! All you have to do as a sinner is obey the Gospel - the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Death is dying to our sins - this is called repentance. We turn away from our sins and stop doing those things which displease God. We are buried with Him in baptism in the name of Jesus Christ! We rise again in a new life when we are filled with the Holy Ghost (God's Spirit coming to live inside of us) with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance.

What about the backslider? Are you backslid?
What about the struggling saint? Have you messed up in your walk with God?

I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Don't doubt the power of the Blood of Jesus! Yes, red stains are hard. Red is powerful. But the red in His Blood is greater than the red of of all of your sins! What a miracle that He can apply his red Blood to our sins and make them white as snow, never to be remembered by Him again!

To the fallen: Get back up! There is hope in the Blood of Jesus to cleanse from the sin stains that seem impossible to remove. God is good!

Amen and Amen! The comments your dad made about this in church yesterday actually struck a chord in me too. I'm thankful the blood of Jesus is still as powerful today to cleanse us from every red sin we've committed when we come to Him, His way! Thanks for sharing this today.

Love,
Mumsy
