Life, at random!

I posted a pic of some twins here and was talking about them a bit and how God is an amazing creator, but it got erased and my computer was being difficult to work with for whatever reason. So anyways, imagine a picture of some really cute twin boys around 2 years old sitting on a church pew. "Awwww!" They're so cute. Moving on!

While doing a fundraiser the other day with our youth group, I saw the poor birdy in the first photo above. Maybe gross for some of you! I happen to think skeletons are really cool. Stop right there! :) Before you judge me, I do not mean in a creepy, ghostly, goth type of sense at all! I am speaking more in terms of archeology and finding the bones of something underground. Even though the bird wasn't found underground, you could see the bones! Bones serve as proof to once existing life! And here I go again with creation! But it's so awesome!

The second pic is my mom teaching on Sunday during Kid's Power Hour! This has been a good theme! We had a fun lesson where a lot of the kids got to help act it out.

On Sunday, my brother gave a devotional from Proverbs and did a really good job. I love to see him let God use him, and I am proud of the growth! It's hard to believe that my 'little' brother will be 19 this year. Where does the time go?

This pictures are way out of order! Anyhow, the above pic is from a lesson our youth leader taught on Friday! It was really good and definitely would make you think! He read some statistics about earthquakes, the San Andreas fault and the Hayward fault. He talked about the pressure building up and how they're saying that eventually, another big quake is bound to happen. He asked for a showing of hands for those who had ever felt an earthquake. Those who had, had never felt anything very big. Others had never felt an earthquake in their life. He then handed out paper and pens and asked us to if we thought the next quake would happen in: 1. This year 2. In the next 10 years 3. in the next 25 years 4. in the next 50 years, or 6. Not in my lifetime. We wrote down our answer and he tallied the answers from the paper. As you can see above under "EG", most people thought the next big earthquake would happen anywhere between 1-10 years.

Then, he gave us all another piece of paper with the same time options to choose from as answers, except this time he asked when we thought Jesus might come back. The majority said 25-50 years. He asked us to look at the board and wanted to know why did we think it was that the majority seemed to think the coming of Jesus seemed so far off. Someone well answered, "because we've never seen anything like it before." And it's so true! The coming of the Lord can be something so big for us to wrap our minds around, because we have never experienced anything like it before. And earthquake, most have experienced. Though we see the signs of the end times all around us that seem to be screaming it could be any day, so many are falling asleep spiritually. But just as it was in the days of Noah, (everyone was eating, drinking, and giving in marriage -- carrying on with life, and their imaginations were "only evil continually.") so shall it be when the Lord returns! It had never rained on the either. The people didn't believe it would happen because nothing like it had ever happened before. But it DID happen.
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

A lot like what we say after counting for a game of hide and seek: Ready or not, here He comes!

And in other random news, sometimes this is what happens when people don't answer their doors on outreach! Then the head and hands of Buddha fell off, like the false god Dagon in I Samuel. Okay, not really.
Children's church has been fun! We are have been travelling back in time to great events in history where the Holy Ghost has been poured out! And the kids should now know that the Lord still pours out the Holy Ghost today! :)

Sarah came to visit me a couple Saturdays ago! (She probably actually just came because she found out we have a Hobby Lobby here and she doesn't.) Ha! Kidding. :) We had a good time along with her mom and Sis. Kathryn! See the gun book ends she enjoyed holding!

At Chili's!

Well, that's all for now, folks. Lord bless y'all real good. Buh-bye.

- Twin! The twin pic is so cute! LOL

- Isn't it so cool that God gave us a gorgeous sky to enjoy? I love it.

- Poor bird indeed. But I am a fan of learning about the body systems so I understand! :)

- Aw, yay Paul!

- I am both scared and fascinated with earthquakes. I've yet to ever feel one (though they are happening in my area fairly frequently these days). And this world has had so many false alarms about the Lord's coming that they're disillusioned. Still, no man knows the day or hour!

- I like that Holy Ghost Time Travel theme! Very neat!

Twin! I love how you commented on EVERYTHING! lolol Thanks! Love getting comments from you! Hope you're doing good! May you soon experience the confusing of an earthquake. lol jk
I have only been in mild ones. It's normally like "is the room shaking? Is my bed moving?" Then it's over. :)
